Serving Teams

Think of your favorite restaurant, store or espresso stand.  What is it about your experience there that attracts you to return? We all have values and standards that determine whether we want to return to a particular place.  The same is true for church.  Each of us, regular attendees and guests, come with expectations of the experience.  Consumerism? A bit, but this is our culture.  When we create an enjoyable and inviting atmosphere that brings people back to our church, they have the opportunity to experience Jesus’ love each time they come.  That’s the goal!  Warmly welcome each other into the church, just as Christ as warmly welcomed you; then God will be glorified. Romans 15:7.

Regardless of whether you consider yourself outgoing in personality or not, I invite you to come be part in serving people.  See the positive impact you can make on our guests, our church family and our community as you share God’s love through serving.  Scripture says love never fails… so join us in making a difference, one life at a time!

Our Teams:

WORSHIP CENTER HOSTS
Worship Center Hosts (ushers) are men, women and young people who welcome those attending services into the Worship Center.  They monitor seating sections, handling offering collection, distribute communion, etc.

SECURITY TEAM
This team is responsible for the overall security of our building and grounds, staff, church family, guests and personal property.  The team continually monitors activities throughout service times.

GREETERS
Greeters are our “engagers” and “welcomers,” ensuring everyone is welcomed and encouraged; especially those they don’t know or recognize.  We encourage entire families to join our team so kids are also involved in welcoming/greeting.  Greeters will be serving both inside our facility (engaging and welcoming) and outside (parking lot entrance and guest parking attendants).

WORSHIP BANDS
Our worship bands play for our Sunday services, Youth nights and occasionally special events.  If you play an instrument, we’d love to get you plugged in with an excited and talented team of musicians that have a heart to worship God with their skill.

MEDIA TEAMS
Our media teams rotate through on Sundays and occasionally assist with special events.  There are many places to get plugged in, ranging from Web development, camera operating, sound mixing, lyrics, graphic design, and more.  This is a great opportunity to let your creativity flow and use your skills to worship God and help people connect with Jesus.

WELCOME CENTER TEAM
This team is the Sunday morning central hub for information (general church information, special events, programs, classes, assistance, sign-ups, etc).  Their role requires skills in being resourceful, organized and compassionate.

CAFE TEAM
The cafe is a place where our church family and guests are able to purchase espresso and other drinks.  This team provides the opportunity for our first-time guests to receive a complimentary beverage of their choice, opening an additional avenue for welcoming them.

MEDICAL EMERGENCY TEAM
This team is on-call with a pager in the event of a medical emergency during Sunday services.

HOUSEKEEPING TEAM
The purpose of this team is to keep the Worship Center, foyer and restrooms tidy; ready for the next service.  If heavy cleaning is needed church maintenance staff will be notified.

COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATORS
The Communications Coordinator role involves monitoring radio/headset communications between the various teams; coordinating and responding to needs that arise.
